Advantages of electric vehicle fuel cell

Release time:2020-03-09 17:27:06  Views:405

In the new energy industry, the lithium battery industry has always been very hot. Scientific research achievements have made breakthroughs one by one, and the industry field is becoming wider and wider. However, in the new energy vehicle industry, it is like kicking an iron plate, and the endurance ability has not been solved. As a result, fuel cells have emerged. Fuel cells have attracted much attention since their birth and are expected to be used in electric vehicles. The application field of fuel cells is also quite broad. Some time ago, it was reported that fuel cells have achieved good results and powerful functions in refrigerated vehicles. So what are the advantages of fuel cells?

1、 It is clean and pollution-free, and the impact of emissions during power generation on the environment is almost negligible. Since there is no rotating machinery, there is no noise pollution.

2、 High power generation efficiency. Through the comprehensive utilization of heat energy through cogeneration or combined cycle, the power generation efficiency of fuel cell is almost twice that of traditional power plants.

3、 Strong ability to adapt to load changes.

4、 The installation cycle is short, the installation position is flexible, the land occupation is small, and the maintenance is easy.

Fuel cell is a kind of component that directly converts the chemical energy stored in fuel and oxidant into electrical energy under isothermal state. The cathode and anode of the fuel cell are separated by electrolyte. During operation, there is no need to burn. Only the oxygen in the fuel and air needs to be sent to the anode and cathode respectively, so as to produce electrochemical reaction. Under the action of electrolyte, the hydrogen and oxygen ions move in a directional direction, generate potential difference, and form current in the external circuit, so as to send out low-voltage DC, which is similar to the reverse process of electrolytic water. In the power generation process of fuel cell, the by-products are only hot water and a small amount of carbon dioxide.
